What you get

Housecall Pro is built around dispatch, estimates and invoicing for home-service companies. CRM Basket is built around the phone and the follow-up: missed-call text-back, review requests, quote reminders, a site and a number, in one login.

Who should stay on Housecall Pro

If you run multiple techs, use flat-rate price books and need recurring service plans, stay. That’s their home turf, not ours.

The honest part

Nobody wins every row, and a comparison page that pretends otherwise isn’t worth your time.

Where Housecall Pro is better

  • Dispatch and tech management. Assigning jobs to techs, GPS and time tracking are mature.
  • Flat-rate price book. If you quote off a price book in the driveway, Housecall Pro does it well.
  • Recurring service plans. Maintenance agreements with scheduled visits are a built-in feature on MAX.
  • Consumer financing and sales proposals. Useful if your tickets are large.

Where CRM Basket is better

  • The phone. A business line, call tracking and missed-call text-back are in the $97, not sold separately.
  • Follow-up on everything. Estimates, reviews, seasonal campaigns and win-backs run automatically without a marketing add-on.
  • One flat price with unlimited users. No per-seat math when you bring on a helper for the season.
  • A real website. Not a booking page — a site you can edit, with the forms wired to your pipeline.

Which one is for you

Stay on Housecall Pro if…

You run several techs, quote from a flat-rate book, or sell maintenance agreements with scheduled visits.

Switch to CRM Basket if…

You are the owner plus a helper or two, the phone is your bottleneck, and you’re paying Essentials-tier money for features built for a six-truck shop.

Switching takes about two weeks

Most people run both for a short overlap. Nothing gets lost and no customer notices.

  1. Export your customers

Housecall Pro exports your customer list as CSV. We import it, with tags, during setup.

  2. Keep your number

Port your line or forward it. Missed-call text-back is live the same day.

  3. Overlap for two weeks

Close out open jobs in Housecall Pro while new work starts in CRM Basket, then cancel.

Questions people ask before switching

Does CRM Basket have a dispatch board?

No. It has calendars and job pipelines, which is enough for an owner-operator crew. If you dispatch several techs daily, Housecall Pro is the better fit.

Can I bring my Housecall Pro customers?

Yes. Export them as a CSV and we load them during setup, free.

Is texting included?

Yes. Two-way texting, missed-call text-back and text follow-ups are part of the plan. Heavy senders draw on a monthly usage credit and we tell you before anything is billed on top.

Does it sync with QuickBooks?

Yes, QuickBooks Online.

What is the $497 Launch Kit?

A one-time, optional setup where we build your site in CRM Basket, port or set up your number, load your customers and switch on the automations.

Is there a contract?

No. Monthly or yearly, cancel anytime. 14-day trial, no charge until it ends.
